To my very dear friends of Mona,
Thank you for all the work you do. I love to read all your reports and show them to others. It is most encouraging to read about all the progress that is being made for the children's education. I was especially interested in the ways in which agriculture, with all its natural character, is finding a way into the schools and may help to balance the mechanical nature of modern technology.
I'm sorry my gift is only small but it comes with a lot of love,
Yours Sincerely,
Ruth Bradley

Dear Mona Foundation:
The Mona Club of Kimberly High School is proud to donate $750 towards the Ruaha Secondary School in Tanzania. The club sponsored a movie night at a local theater. The girls pre-sold tickets to "Hotel Rwanda." Eighty-six students attended the movie. Following the movie, the students attended a fireside chocolate chat for a reception. Many of our young students did not know of the crisis surrounding the movie and were eager to donate money to help someone go to school.
Thank you for your continued work in Africa and for giving us an opportunity to donate toward a great cause. We feel giving our American students something bigger than themselves to focus on has helped us to minimize our own problems and to focus on a larger crisis such as the AIDS problem in the world.
Sincerely,

Dear Mona Foundation,
We are grade 6/7 students from Tecumseh Elementary School in Vancouver, British Columbia. We are members of an ADHOC committee of the student leadership program led by our teacher, Mrs. Leila Khodarahmi. Our committee did a fundraiser to help the Anis Zunuzi School in Haiti. We wanted to do this because we want the children in Haiti to be able to have the same education as we do. To do this, we started with a candy raffle. In the first week, we raised $200. The last week, we had donations only. If they donated $2.00 or more, they would be automatically entered into a daily draw. In the end, we raised $835.66. We would like to donate 50% of this money to go toward the food program and the vegetable garden, 40% would go to scholarships and the last 10% will go toward the internet connection. We are proud with how much we have raised. We hope that this money will really help the kids in Haiti.
Sincerely,
The Anis Zunuzi Group Committee
