Dr. Alisa Leckie has a Master's in Bilingual/Multicultural Education and a Ph.D. in Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies, and currently teaches Middle Grades & Secondary Education at Georgia Southern University.
Her research interests include the education of language minority students, critical analysis of policies impacting education, literacy across the content areas and adolescent literacy.
Dr. Leckie
is the recipient of many awards for teaching excellence, including the 2018 Jack Miller Award, and has co-written numerous articles.
