Start a Campaign for Education
From celebrating your birthday to hosting a game night, there are many ways to fundraise for education. No matter what you do, you can be sure that the money you raise directly supports our grassroots partners around the world bringing access to quality education and create lasting positive change in their communities.
Whether your campaign is big or small, your fundraising enables children globally to have the opportunity to go to school, aspire to dream big, and arise in service to their communities.
How it works:
Decide your goal, name your campaign, personalize it with a photo and you are ready to start.
Spread the message to your community, link your page and ask them to support in whatever way they can.
You'll receive a notice when someone donates to your campaign. Thank your supporters & celebrate together.
Once your campaign is over, we will report back to you about the programs and students your money helps.
Celebrate your birthday for education! You can ask your loved ones to donate to your campaign instead of giving gifts.
Dedicate a special occasion for education! Whether a wedding, anniversary, baby shower, graduation -- ask your personal network to donate to your campaign as a celebration of you.
Remember or honor a loved one for education. Invite others to donate in their memory or honor.
There are many fun and creative ways to fundraise for education! You can hold a bake sale, make a music video, host a movie night, collaborate with a local business, among many, many more.
Equally as important as raising funds is raising awareness! Share personal stories about why you’re a Mona Champion. These stories can be featured on your personal campaign page and your social media, with an optional call to action for donations.
Our fundraisers are essential as they harness the strength of their network to expand Mona's outreach and impact. Through hosting creative campaigns, fundraisers leverage the power of personal connections by mobilizing friends and family to champion Mona's mission and helping fulfill our grassroots partners' needs.
Wedding Ceremonials
In celebration of their union, this bride and groom made a donation in each guest’s honor towards establishing three one-room schools for 120 students in Lucknow, India and contributing to the building of the Hospitality and Hotel Management wing of the Starfish Business Skills Center in The Gambia to train and empower 100 girls ages 14-18.
They were overjoyed to share this special moment in their lives and requested in lieu of gifts to consider supporting the education of students-in-need through Mona Foundation. They set out for an ambitious $73,000 goal, and ended at an INCREDIBLE $40,138.45.
Celebrating Another Year of Life
For her birthday, Parisa asked her loved ones to donate to her campaign page, and set a goal to invest in 101 students, covering one month of their education ($11/month per student). She nearly met her goal, raising $1,082.11, contributing to a month of scholarship costs for 100 students. In her words:
"Education opened -- and continues to open -- the world to me. I see it release my inner capacities on a daily basis. And I want everyone to have opportunities like those I've had, or better.
Education for girls in particular means not only our capacities, but the capacities of the next generation are enabled to flourish. This can turn a struggling community into a beacon of light for itself and others around it. Education changes everything."
Lingua Natal Peacemakers for Mona
As the season of service, gratitude, and unity arrived, Jardin International Preschool invited everyone to join their end-of-year fundraising campaign in support of ADCAM's Escola do Futuro, one of Mona's grassroots partners. Whether people gave directly or through their bake sales, children's art shows, monthly dinners, or Winter Festival, their donations went to fostering the academic, artistic, and moral development of students at ADCAM.
Through their various fundraising methods, Jardin was able to raise $4,312.92 to support the education of 32 students for an entire year.
