Nessa Samimi

Nessa Samimi is a high school senior who has actively supported Mona Foundation since 5th grade. She traveled with Mona board members on a site visit to Panama as a 6th grader and later joined the first cohort of Mona Youth Ambassadors. Over the years, she has held numerous fundraisers, including annual Move4Mona 5K Walks that successfully engaged her peers and community in supporting education and gender equality.


In 2024, Nessa travelled to Colombia to visit the Ruhi Arbab and Simmons schools, which have partnered with Mona since 2020. She is currently raising funds to help the Simmons School build a library and classroom.


Nessa's strong record of community service and leadership includes interning with Mona for the last three years and a prestigious internship at the United Nations, where she attended high-level meetings alongside dignitaries. She has also served her local community as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and National Charity League.


Passionate about Mona’s mission, Nessa is dedicated to ensuring that education is accessible to all and currently serves as a member of Mona's Youth Advisory Board.
