Peruvian-American filmmaker, photographer and social entrepreneur Marco Ríos Bollinger has directed projects for the UN Refugee Agency and National Geographic, worked with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, photographed Beyoncé and Obama, and screened at Cannes and Sundance.


He’s produced award-winning social issue documentaries on subjects such as the plight of refugee kids (SAFE ZONE), the healing power of dance (Dance Is My Gun) and the impacts of tourism (2.5%). He co-founded Uprise Institute, which creates virtual learning content for marginalized youth, and Lokal Travel which connects travelers with experiences in 200+ Latin American communities. He is currently producing a docuseries he created called Hidden Heroes, which showcased at Sundance 2024.
