Mark W. Sisson is a distinguished professor and lead faculty member in the Film, Television, and Media Arts program at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television from San Francisco State University and a Master of Fine Arts in film from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Mr. Sisson brings over four decades of experience in film and television production, social mobilization, community development, and media education in the United States and internationally.


As an award-winning filmmaker, he has produced and directed over fifty documentaries and educational films, showcasing his talent and expertise in the field.  In addition to his professional accomplishments, throughout his adult life, Mr. Sisson has dedicated his career to education and community development, with a strong emphasis on the application of the arts and media in social development. He continues to work in the field of community development at both local and regional levels, leveraging his expertise to make a positive impact on society.  He has collaborated with various international organizations, including UNICEF, WHO, USAID, EDC, JICA, on projects related to social and economic development, community advocacy, education and Media production.


With a wealth of experience in curriculum development, media production, and education, Mr. Sisson has worked with a variety of production companies such as KNBC, Tandem Embassy Productions, Stephen J. Cannell Productions and a host of independent commercial film companies.
