Felix recently participated in the 3-day seminar in Cameroon and found it enriching. Plans were made with his team on the next steps in the implementation of the DHEP technology. The teams also consulted on how they would involve their entire family and make sure that they all participate. Following the seminar, Felix gathered his family, wife and two children and helped them understand how this technology will improve their method of farming, allow them to spend more time together and he gave them a breakdown of the schedule ahead. His family was incredibly happy as they got to spend more time with their father, especially his children who worked closely with him clearing and making seedbeds. They were able to follow the schedule as planned during the seminar.
They planted bean, corn, and cassava. He observed that the crops are growing well and healthy. And are now preparing for the second planting season. He also shared that few weeks ago termites infested his farm, and he was able to discourse with the other promoters and they made decisions on what actions to take, he bought the required products and was able to exterminate the termites.
“I am incredibly happy when I look at my plot, it is exceptionally beautiful to watch, and I look forward to the harvest.”
