December 2023 - An appreciation dinner with Rainn Wilson, actor, author, philanthropist and Mona Champion, was held at Spinasse Restaurant in Seattle last month to give special thanks to about 30 local activists and philanthropists committed to being a force for social good and supporting several nonprofits including Mona Foundation. This dinner was a great example of what is possible with the collaboration of individuals, foundations, businesses, grassroots partners, and communities.
Spirits were high as Rainn and Mona CEO Mahnaz Javid recognized the service, generosity, and philanthropy of Trilogy CEO Brad Horwitz and Jana Carlson for hosting the dinner and being a pillar of support to Mona and many other nonprofits; Slalom Consulting CEO Brad and Jill Jackson, who built a high school in Sierra Leone this year; Patti Haven Fleischmann, co-Founder of Stolen Youth, a Seattle nonprofit working to end child sex trafficking in Washington state; and to all guests who so generously support Mona's mission.
