In 1999, Mona supported the education of 4 students in 2 countries. Since then, we have provided access to quality education for over 4.2 million students through 41 grassroots partners in 23 countries. To celebrate this milestone, we have premiered our 25th Anniversary documentary LIGHT AND AIR in cities across the U.S. this past Fall.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Marco Rios Bollinger, LIGHT AND AIR brings to life the impact of Mona Foundation's approach to development, the tireless efforts of our grassroots partners, and the generosity of our donors through the inspiring stories of a few students whose lives were transformed through education and who are now uplifting all around them, changing hearts and minds about the importance of girls’ education, gender equality, and service as a way of life.

But education gives the power and the strength to transform our life and that of others. It makes us be confident and self-reliant.
